as I arrived I met all of Grammy Gail and Papa's dogs. I like them all, but my favorite is Lola. After getting used to all of the dogs and being in a new place, I realized that my grandparents had a very nice backyard, and I knew
that I wanted to spend as much time back there as I could. There was so much to look at and do. There were trees to look at, pathways to walk down, dog toys to put in my mouth, and flowers to pick. My favorite was feeding the birds with my Grammy Gail. We would go around to all of the birdfeeders and fill them up. This took a while but it sure was fun. After being in Redding for a couple of days, I realized that my Grammy Gail
needed help taking care of this big yard, so I went to the store and bought a nice lawn mower. It was very
loud and fun to push, and it did a great job keeping the yard neat.Mowing the lawn and playing, shopping and hanging out with all the family and dogs everyday made me very tired. So each night around nine o'clock my mom and I would go lie down in bed and try to fall asleep.
This was quite difficult to do on most nights. Just as I would be about to fall asleep I would here loud barking followed by yelling from Grammy Gail and Papa. Then the house would begin to smell funny and mama would tell me everything was fine. I don't know what a skunk is, but I hope none ever come to visit my dog Stanley. After a long, fun trip, it was time to come home. I went up, up, up on an airplane, and got back to San Diego before I knew it. When I got to my house,
I helped my mom do her laundry. After the laundry was finished, I was pooped. I knew that it was time for sleep, and I wasn't going to make it to my bed. I found a spot that was comfortable enough for the cat, so I figured it would be fine for me. It felt great, and the next thing I knew, I was sound asleep.
